An interesting 9-hole in Western Portugal
It has not been too difficult to transform a location of such natural beauty into this pleasant Botado nine hole course. Built near the dunes of Consolação beach and the fishing port of Peniche, the Botado Golf Course, with its six lakes and big bunkers runs parallel to the beach for two and a half kilometres.
Practise your game on a links course
The Botado Golf Course has clear "links" characteristics (seaside course), and is demanding of players, especially in short shots, as the juniper wood has to be preserved and so balls may be lost. The Botado Golf Course takes advantage of the rolling dunes and offers the additional challenge of seven strategically located stretches of water. Because of this fact every single golf match game is a challenge to golfers’ skills.

The longest hole of Botado Golf Course is the par-5 5th of 429 m., and the shortest is the par-3 6th of 143 meters. Lakes have also been constructed for the wayward ball, especially on the par-4 1st hole.

How to get there?
- To get Peniche from Lisbon (about 80 kms)- follow the A8 to Caldas da Rainha until you arrive to the IP6. Then follow the IP6 directly to Peniche. The Botado course is then indicated.
- To get to Peniche from the North - Follow the A1 until Leiria. In leiria take the A8 and follow the direction to Obidos until you arrive to the IP6. Then follow the IP6 directly to Peniche. Botado golf is then indicated.
