AROEIRA GOLF II
A great complex close to Lisbon
Herdade da Aroeira is located in a preserved area, 25km from the centre of Lisbon and just 600 meters from the beach. The estate covers 350 hectares, has thousands of pines and several lakes to go with a temperate microclimate.
With the opening of its second course, Aroeira Golf has become the largest golf centre in the Lisbon region as well as an attractive leisure and tourism centre.
An attractive & increasing challenge
Despite the inviting nature of its greens, the Aroeira II Golf Course becomes increasingly difficult as you move from hole number 1 to number 9 (stroke 1), as well as from number 10 to number 18 (stroke 2). Unlike Aroeira I Golf, this newer nr. II course has bunkers on the fairways, some of them in the Scottish style of pot bunkers. But the sand traps are not the only obstacles that have to be taken into account: because of the Aroeira II Golf Course’s five large lakes, water is a fairly constant hazard, particularly at the last nine holes.

How to get there?
Cross the 25 Abril Bridge. At the 1st junction, turn right towards Costa da Caparica and continue for 6km. At the 2nd traffic lights, turn left, follow the road through town and drive for about 10km to Fonte da Telha. Follow the Golf signs, turning left at Fonte da Telha. After 400m the entrance of Aroeira Resort is on your right.
